EL CAMINO
Now Serving: Everyone!
In a popular neighborhood like the Denver Highlands, a restaurant can thrive. And, El Camino was doing just that. Transitioned from a lounge to a Mexican restaurant, the place was always packed.
Grant, the owner, wanted to be open for lunch, welcoming to families, but not alienating to the singles crowd. He had focused on a “green” remodeling effort, only adding the minimum necessary to the space, and recycling what was currently there to be environmentally and financially conscious. The result was a confusing layout and inconsistent design. Despite that, his place was doing well. But, he knew with help it could really thrive. Enter Xan. We identified the need for cohesiveness in the space, and helped Grant understand how to focus the El Camino brand within the environment. The previous lounge seemed to be centered around the bar. So, we reduced the size of the bar, introduced booths and created a seating layout that balanced the bar with the eating area.
With a quick turn around time, to avoid losing business, and budgetary consideration, we made this once bar a community tavern. And now, at any given time in El Camino you’ll see a family of four eating alongside a first date. Hey, it’s community.
“I have had the privilege of working with Xan on two restaurant concepts in the past seven years. Not only were they able to enhance my original concepts, they were able to utilize what was already there. True form and function. There are few companies that have this talent. From beginning to end, I was amazed at their timeliness and attention to detail. There is no question in my mind that the success of my restaurant is in great part due to the work and creativity of Xan.”
